There is an abundance of information on Long-Term Care.  Some are informative, others opinionated and many framed under the guise of marketing.  Reading an article and understanding an article are different.  My mission is to educate families on nursing facilities, so that they can make an informed decision.

Medicare is health insurance for people 65 or older which pays for skilled care.  You can learn more and compare nursing facilities at their web site.

The Consumer Voice

The National Consumer Voice for Quality Long-Term Care was formed as NCCNHR (National Citizens’ Coalition for Nursing Home Reform) in 1975 because of public concern about substandard care in nursing homes.

CDC

CDC is the nation’s health protection agency, working 24/7 to protect America from health and safety threats, both foreign and domestic. Their web site also provide information about nursing homes.

NIA

The National Institute of Aging is a leading source of information for health issues, research and care for elder adults.
